Mesa came to Mountain Shadows with fellow Arabian Dulce as part of a court neglect case. She had been emaciated, but has been gaining back weight with regular feeding and safe shelter.

While Mesa has been initially less trusting of human contact than Dulce, every day she gains a little more confidence as she comes to enjoy grooming and learns that the halter is not so scary.

After an early scare with choke, Mesa is in good health and spirits, and we look forward to getting to know each other better!
