Meet Sequoia!

Age: 21
Gender: Mare
Breed: Tennessee Walker
Height: 15.1hh
Handler experience needed: Advanced beginner

Notes: Sequoia, a beautiful soul, found her way back to us through no fault of her own. Despite being lovingly adopted, unforeseen circumstances led her back to our care. We’re currently checking in with her and providing some extra care and attention, ensuring she’s in the best shape possible. Keep an eye out, as Sequoia will soon be available for adoption once again, ready to bring joy and companionship into a new loving home.

This pretty lady came to us in April of 2023 from loving owners in Wyoming who were having a difficult time rehoming her on their own. After spending time gaining a little weight and getting a training refresher, Sequoia is ready for her next adventure. Could that be with you?

If you are looking for an all-around friendly, dependable, smooth-riding horse, Sequoia’s your gal! Sequoia is gaited, saddle-trained, and sound. No buck, bite, bolt, or rear, but she can be quite forward. Sequoia has good feet and stands well for the farrier and vet. She gets along fairly well with other horses, but may have some dominant tendencies. When she came to us, Sequoia had some trailer-related fears, but, after some training, she now loads well, though can still have some nerves in the trailer. She has been on a few trails and can be a little watchy, but isn’t reactive. Sequoia is ready to be your partner in any discipline!
