Truth is a 9-year-old off-the-track thoroughbred mare rescued from auction in June of this year. After gaining back her weight, getting new shoes to make her more comfortable, and going through a training refresher, this leggy 16.2 hand lady is ready for adoption!

She has lovely, smooth gaits, which she picks up readily. She isn’t spooky and does well on trails, though she can get buddy sour and objects when she is left on her own. Truth is very much a thoroughbred, and while good-tempered and in-your-pocket, she will need a confident and experienced rider, as she will on occasion attempt a buck and can be pushy if her handler doesn’t make sure she minds her manners.

Truth will need to be in a home where she has a companion horse or animal to keep her company. She will also continue to need front shoes and possibly pads. She knows her basics, and has lots of potential for the right person to continue her training.
